INSANE plum plastic Nina Ricci oversized sunglasses with original non- Rx gradient lenses, circa 1970s vintage!
The arms have an open channel design, with bold gold metal 'Nr' plaques at the temples.
Arms curve inward for streamlined folding - I took these to a local optometrist who deals in high end vintage frames and he - once I refused to sell these to him- confirmed these were designed as such- while an exaggerated frame, these are for a fairly small face.
Plastic frames are plum on the front (outer), clear in the center and pearly opalescent on the interior.
Inner left arm is marked 'handmade France', with style number '1033-R', the inner right arm is marked 'Nina Ricci PARIS'.
Lenses are original - the small cutout adjacent to the nose bridge is part of the design.
Both the frames and lenses are in excellent - if not flawless- condition.
These appear unworn, with no issues to report.
